Personal Training FAQ’s

PT SESSIONS

  • 45 minutes

  • 10 person max

  • Your session will be led by Personal Trainers who are also Allied Health qualified professionals - we have a mix of Exercise Physiologists, Exercise Scientists and Nutritionists in our superstar PT team.

  • Our model is all about individualising your workout specifically to your body, your needs and your goals. Our exercise prescription is tailored to you from the moment you arrive. We always ask you how your body is feeling and tailor your workout accordingly. There are no cookie-cutter programs as we cover a range of different workout styles to get you to your goals discussed in your consultation.

Some common types of training we cover are:

    • Strength

    • Cardio

    • Core

    • Mobility

    • Rehabilitation

    • Flexibility

    • Balance

  • PT session timetable can be found here

PRIOR TO STARTING

  • Of course! We want to get to know all about your training history, goals and any injuries/limitations/medical we need to be aware of. We offer in-studio or over the phone complimentary consultations that are booked in prior. These take anywhere from 10-20 minutes depending on varying individual needs.

  • We can sign you up over the phone or in-studio where you select which membership best suits your needs and billing details are stored securely in our system.

Alternatively, you can sign up via:

    Our APP for Apple

    Our APP for Android

    Our Website

SESSION BOOKINGS

  • Once you’ve signed up to a membership, you can book your sessions via:

    Our APP for Apple

    Our APP for Android

    Our Website

Bookings open 3 weeks in advance and we recommend taking advantage of this to ensure you’re organised and don’t miss out on your favourite session day and time!

  • We’re a bookings only model as this allows for our PT team to plan ahead of time for everyone’s individualised workouts, allocate equipment and set up the room.

  • Because we’ve already had time to get to know you and your needs in our consultation prior, you don’t need to arrive earlier to your first session. If you were onboarded over the phone/online, the trainer will be able to give you a quick little tour and show you around to ensure you’re feeling comfortable!

  • A small hand towel and drink bottle will have you covered. Please always wear comfortable exercise clothing and runners are a must.

  • You are most welcome to still attend the session as it’s unlike a group class where everyone is on the same program. However, please note that you won’t be able to stay back late as we run back to back sessions.

  • All of our sessions are led by a trainer however, if you would like to train yourself in our facility, you have the option to sign up to Open Gym.

    So what’s Open Gym?

Between 12-2pm Monday to Friday, you can come train yourself in our studio. We won’t be there to supervise as often we’re doing other work or in 1:1’s however, we’ll of course lend a helping hand if you need guidance.

    Open Gym pricing

    • $25/week for non-members (direct debit)

    • $10/week for members (direct debit)

CANCELLATION POLICY/WAITLIST

  • You can cancel your session via our website booking system or app. It is important to remove yourself from the session as early as possible so someone from the waitlist has a chance to train. It also allows our trainers to complete adequate and accurate session planning, programming and equipment allocation.

If you cancel within 9 hours of your booked session, you will incur a late cancel fee of $10

If you are a no-show, you will incur a no-show fee of $15.

If there's a 50% chance you won’t make it, we recommend canceling more than 9 hours in advance to avoid fees. If you later find you can attend and there's a spot, you can rebook.

Late cancel and no show fees are done on an automatic weekly basis for the week prior.

  • If you are on a waitlist and a spot becomes available, you will be automatically moved into the session and notified of this via email up to two hours to the session start time. If this time no longer suits, you can cancel your session.

If you are on a waitlist, please prepare yourself like you will make it to that session. There is often movement overnight or during the day, so there is a good chance you’ll get a spot. If you are moved from a waitlist into a session within 9 hours of the session but you can no longer make it, that is classified as a late cancel and the late cancel fee will be applied.

Waitlists are moved into sessions up to 2 hours prior to the session.

  • If you have a cold or flu symptoms, please refrain from attending sessions until you’re well.

If you have any new injuries or conditions, please get the all clear from your specialist or doctor before attending.

If you have something else going on with your body or mind such as mental health, hormonal condition, energy level shift, pregnancy, premenstrual or during your cycle, we welcome you. Our individualised model caters and accommodates all of this and more. We understand you can’t be at 110% every day in order to move your body. We will gauge where you’re at in the beginning of the session and train you accordingly. Most often than not, our members who still attend their workouts leave feeling better than when they walked in. By not running a group class model means we can work individually and can easily scale down or up the program we had planned to match where you’re at that day. We welcome you to let your trainer know at the start of the session and look forward to giving you that little more TLC that day.

OTHER

  • Absolutely! However, your child will have to stay seated in your allocated training zone and won’t be able to play with or use any of the equipment (bulk snacks, devices and colouring books are your best friends here - zero judgment!). You are solely responsible for your children in the studio. If you do bring your child along, please be mindful that they are not distracting the trainer or other clients ensuring the safety of everyone in the studio.

  • We welcome youth as young as 12 years old to join our PT sessions

  • If you’re pregnant, congratulations! It’s important to seek clearance from your doctor or specialist prior as everyone’s pregnancy is different in terms of their considerationa, needs and history. All of our trainers have had pre and post natal exercise training and with many of our team being Exercise Physiologists, this is one of the areas of interest that they specialise in. Because our model is individualised, there’s no pressure to ‘keep up with a class’ or have generic programs for all. We’ll take into consideration your daily changing needs and train you accordingly, keeping you moving safely.

  • In our (highly experienced) books - never! Guidelines tell us to move 30 minutes minimum every day! But make sure you’re factoring in where you’re at in your fitness journey and what your lifestyle entails. If possible, we recommend a minimum of 3 sessions a week to gain desired results in an adequate amount of time. However, due to our individualised approach, some of our members train with us every day as it’s a means for them to safely and successfully exercise daily!

LOGISTICS/FACILITY

  • We have a large gym studio space, private consultation rooms, a semi-private exercise area, shower and toilet facility.
